Name that DVD

I've waited & waited for Sally or Lawrence to follow up on Audrey's suggestion, that we submit as a reply to this post, a good name for the DVD that Andre will be creating in New York in July.   <I was lurking in on another post & saw your reply Audrey....good thought!>

sooooooo, what should Andre name the DVD?

I thought it might be fun too, but nobody commented.I have no particular idea, it will probably be something like "Live In.....", but I'll bet there are some creative people out there who could come up a name. It's all just in fun anyway.audrey, what would you name it?

I think Shirley might have it right, Live at Radio City Music Hall or some variation of that, but it would be fun to come up with creative names.

Dance America! Where all of the audiance is dancing in the aisles?

Andre Rieu and his JSO in the Big Apple?

Oh shucks, I'm just not good at this! Someone help us out here.

Lately, I have been into Big Band Swing era music. I imagine Andre Rieu and his JSO playing those songs. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

So, on that theme, I name the DVD:

Andre Rieu: A Tribute to The Big Apple & Big Bands

    Ya Think?

I just finished looking for your post on Andre's website, AUDREY!

I couldn't find it either. You may have just hit upon the theme of the concert.

Coincidence. While you were writing here, Bill, I was sending you an email. I have resubmitted the name but without any reference to a contest. That may be scaring them--a flood of suggestions. Odd, too, that today Moussouri got a guilty verdict and a potential death sentence. Should make European news. Wonder if you are right about their theme for the concert. Andre does express appreciation to US soldiers. (Just had to correct myself. Was writing "American." I am sensitive to Canadians and South & Central Americans who prefer to have the USA referred to as the "States" since they are Americans, too, by virtue of being on those continents. Gosh, things can get tricky. Most visitors will say they are going to the States. Andre can say America, tho, since he tours Canada, too.

In the age of political correctness,I will still refer to myself as an American and not a just a person from the united states. Might makes right, and that makes me right. I refer to Mexicans as Mexicans and Argentinian as Argentinians. Yes they are still from the Americas.Everyone knows that Americans are from the states and are called Americans.I think that If it were not for us U.S. Veterans, most people in the world would be speaking German! Including most Europeans. We all know Andre loves America or he would not have recorded the tribute song: Lost Heroes what a beautiful song,my wife Judy and I cried when we heard it; GOD BLESS you Andre Rieu and your Wife Who wrote the words.Kyle Sandvik
