For everyone's benefit, the correct pronunciation of Mirusia Louwerse's name is:

Mee-roo-sah  Louw-er-suh

"My first name is Polish & my surname is Dutch"

Welcome to this website, Mirusia; we are eagerly looking forward to seeing & hearing you as part of Andre's upcoming concert tour in 2007.

I see where you sang Handel's Messiah in Dec 2006 with Bass singer Jack Louwerse.  Is that your father?

I also notice you plan to use the $10,000 prize money in the Dame Joan Sutherland award to fly to Florida for private lessons with Horst Hoffman.  Is this still in your plans now that you've signed a contract with André?

We sure hope you can see your way clear to decloak & say something.

At 0901 28 March here in Phoenix, it is already 1201 29 March in Brisbane, Australia

I figure you'll spend your birthday at home with family & then make a long flight to Holland to begin practicing with André & the JSO on or about 1 April.  This means you'll leave Australia one day & arrive in Holland the next.    Talk about jet lag!

A year from now, Mirusia, you will be recognized everywhere in the world by people when you walk down the street.  You'll shed a lot of tears of joy in the next 12 months from all the accolades certain to come your way.  It's going to be a wild ride.

We all hope today is memorable & look forward to your concert contributions with André & the JSO.

    For every ones edification, I badly mispronounced her name the first time. I could have played it safe & asked her for the correct pronunciation! I didn't play it safe, I guessed

    When you begin practicing with the JSO in April, please say 'hi" to Arthur (oboe), Agnes (violin) & Nadia (viola). Agnes is from Poland & is fluent in 4 different languages. Look for the young woman with a world class smile, that will be Agnes.
