Have you notice Rene & Roger play 2 different types of trumpets. I got curious today & decided to do a google search for Trumpet. I think I found the other type of Trumpet Rene & Roger Play; I think it is a rotary valve Trumpet. Here is what I found:

The above will give you a photo & thorough description of what appears to me to be a Trumpet Rene & Roger play from time to time.
Those much more musical than myself, can probably confirm or refute this.
There are several different types of trumpets, even the cornet looks like a trumpet. I've always liked the brass instruments.Years ago one of my favorites was Herb Alpert & his Tijuana Brass. Also like jazz, my favorite trumpet players are Doc Severinsen, of the old Johnny Carson days, the late, great Louis Armstrong, and Wyntin Marsalis, who by the way, plays the most beautiful classical music also. On Fri. nites I listen to the Riverwalk Jazz form San Antonio. Whether a piece be classical or jazz I love the sound. I appreciate when Andre features some of the individual players.BTW, while I'm here, a belated birthday wish to you Rene.I hope it ended on a "hi note".
I wanted to add a memory of meeting René in San Jose California, at a Meet & Greet. (the last official one).
Ladies, if you ever have the chance to meet René, I am certain you will all think as I did...."WOW, What beautiful skin". Really, his skin is creamy, absolutely gorgeous, translucent. He reminded me of a Leonardo sculpture. And light, bright pretty blue eyes. Quite a handsome man.
René was in conversation with another lady, so I just listened for the most part, not wanting to interrupt them. Finally able to speak with him, I found him to be engaging, intelligent and nice. A Fond Memory to Share!
