Every aspect is covered – the travelling and fun times on the way, but also the sadness and emotions, what is really involved in organising a concert like this, what the orchestra eats, where they stay, what André does in the daytime, do the soloists like going shopping, or do they prefer to surf the Internet? There are interviews with André himself, about his work, his private life and his plans for the future, plus interviews with his son Pierre, and with orchestra players, soloists, fans, and those who assisted with the tour.

Would you call that AFTERNOON DELIGHT?
18 October....Waltzertraum!
Be sure to watch this one, it was filmed with Andre & the JSO during a concert on a cruise ship & in several scenic locations including a snow capped mountain in the background....while playing Edelweiss
No other DVD shows Andre & the JSO giving a concert on a cruise ship
I love this one!And the beautiful Edelweiss, who doesn't love that beautiful song? Ironically I just heard, on the radio, an Iranian man singing that song in his own native language.Just goes to show that beautiful music, in any language, is still beautiful music. BTW Mr Bill, will this be showing on TV?
Oh I love this one, and when he plays "My Heart Will Go On" on the ship, it is soooo dreamy. That song is one of my favorites and so is Edelweiss. Don't miss it! Hugs
Mmmm...yes, this is such a wonderful dvd. I often dream of what it would have been like to be on that cruise!
This is among my favorite dvd's that André has done.
"My Heart Will Go On" is one of my favorite songs of all time...and of course, I could go on and on about this dvd and the music that is played. If you are able to see this one, then by all means sit back, relax, and enjoy a breathtaking, beautiful moment in life and enjoy "Waltzertraum", you will be so happy you did!
Yep Shirley I should would
Yep, me too!!!
I'm flying to Australia ASAP! (don't I wish)
Shirley, I think LAST week was our time to fly to Australia (sigh)
Yes...Australia...I wonder what it's like living in Australia?
This is absolute afternoon delight with a double whammy /Andre forever and ever
Marlene - Living in Australia is like nothing anywhere else on Earth. The only way to fully appreciate what we Aussie have - is to experience it. Make it a must do on "Lifes Calender". However, spare a thought for me, I finish my work daily at 3pm and arrive home about 3.30pm. Just think, I am going to be able to watch every bit of "Ovations" Andre October. I must commend Ovation for their initiative, but then again, they are a large seller of Andre produce through their website, but good on them for recognizing what the public wants. Also looks as though October will see the introduction of the TV Dinner to our household !!!. Oh dear - the price we must pay.!!!
I have burnt that many dinners through watching Andre and being on the computer that my family now go and do their own TV dinners (yeh dont have to cook anymore). Thank you Andre. My family are finally looking after themselves!
Hello everyone. Grayeme and Kate, you made me laugh with the tv dinners.
We do have a tendancy to change our habits slightly with it comes to Andre Rieu! I just skip cooking all together.
Grayeme, maybe one day my "life's Calendar" will allow me to do some of the things I wish, and then I can get to Australia, I've thought about it all my life. There is something fascinating about your country that really appeals to me
(not the outback).
How great are these concerts we are getting on Ovation, and there are even more than what is on the original programme published above. Last Monday was supposed to be a free day from Andre and I saved all my chores for Monday afternoon, but low and behold, I came in from work and there was Andre and Co. at Maastricht. So the chores are now scheduled for the weekend. The "Christmas Round the World" concert this afternoon was brilliant, (as they all are)but it was the first time I had seen it. Still 9 more concerts to go (plus whatever I don't know about). Bless all at Ovation. Great time to be above the ground. Cheers from Aussie Downunder and Happy Rieu--ing.
