ANDRé RIEU ADDS CANADIAN DISTINCTION TO TORONTO CONCERTS
Andre Rieu ~ World Stadium Tour ~
Canada ~ News
Adding a distinctly Canadian flair to his concert spectacular, Andre Rieu has tabbed two up and coming Canadian Pairs figure skating teams to participate along side him in his full-stadium show at Rogers Centre. This latest announcement comes on the heels of interest from The Guinness Book of World Records as they have their eye on a number of records he could set in Toronto with the unveiling of his World Stadium Tour: A Romantic Viennese Night
The Guinness Book of World Records has their eyes on André Rieu’s full-stadium show as the extravaganza may set three new world records. This show, with the full opulence of a romantic Viennese night, could potentially set new records for the biggest set ever built; the largest logistical operation ever undertaken; and the largest number of performers for one show.

Master craftsmen in Europe are working hard to get all the intricate details of the Castle of Schonbrünn just right in preparation for its shipment to Canada in an incredible 125 sea containers. In addition to the magical castle, 250 performers will dazzle audience members through music, dance and even skating during Andre Rieu’s world premier concert series on December 14 and 15, 2007.
Be part of history and join the largest crowd to ever watch an indoor classical music concert. Tickets, ranging in price from $84.50 to $124.50, are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Rogers Centre – Gate 7, charge by phone at 416-872-1111 or online at TicketMaster
Groups of 20 or more are encouraged to contact the Group Sales Office via e-mail or call 416-341-2255

Thank You to Judith for this information

This is fantastic! I have so much I wish to say on this, I can't think of what I want to say
. I'm so excited!
If anyone could break this type of record, then it would be our Maestro, André Rieu! Way to go André!!
I wish that I could be there. hmmm...maybe we will get another dvd?...cd? Yes, that would be wonderful.
Dear friends I concur with Marlene & I sincerely hope Andre & crew pull it off.
The logistics alone blow my mind. I also think a record will be set by the
attendance. As a canadian I am honored
that my country was chosen for the grand effort. Wpon't call it an experiment as it is so much more than that. I note too that Amsterdam has been
added to the list of stadia concerts,
beginning June 28th, I hope we will see a dvd of the concert as it is a 1st.Thank you Judith for the input, which give us all a little glimpse of
what is to come. Sure wish I had been able to attend, but with plane tickets
& hotel it was just out of reach. Will be thinking of you all & I hope it is as great as only our beloved Maestro can
make it. We are getting snow this morning after a week of chilly but sunny weather. This just may stay a while as it isn't supposed to warm up very much very soon. It makes the trees look dressed for a gala & no infernal wind which is nice. Hope all my friends on the blog are able to get together in
Toronto. Some of you have already met each other but new friends are always welcome. Most of us are older but we do have a few young folks, which is nice to see. My G/S Andy enjoyed the part of the concert he was able to see before he got sick from the food poisoning, wich is still under investigation by the health authorities
Otherwise things are fine with all in my family Kathy will be working at the agri station until mid-dec, which came about as the tech had to go on a long health leave of absence. She won't be back very soon & then only with a doc's
permission. It was a mental thing that has been on-going for a number of years & finally the head honchos felt they had to attend to the problem Mental harrassment is not acceptable in the workplace. Much harder to root out than physical abuse, but at last they realized there was a situation & did something about it. My daughter was the brunt of her just plain nastiness to the extent she was ready to go to another crew, but she likes the potato
crew. From planting, harvest & experiments on what grows the best for this area. I had not idea that it was so extensive. They have plots over a 50 mile radius so it covers the area a its difference very well. It makes for long days when they go to service the outlying plots. Kathy has been doing the entry of data, plus cleaning the lab which gets very dusty from the potato sacks. Also all the bags have to be washed & sterilized so they can get accurate data. It is quite the process.
Hope all who are going to concerts in Dec have a great time. It is the joy of a lifetime & will stay with you a long
time. I've been to three & would go again in a heartbeat. Love to all Marianne
