Andre Rieu Gifts
Most Fans have given or received an "" Andre Rieu Gift "" to or from someone special. I myself have given CDs, DVDs, Photographs I've had autographed for the recipient, key chains and little things I have personally made.

What have YOU given or received?
Oh I have received so much over the three years since I have known Andre especially since I have found the wonderful friends on this site. First of all Andre himself is a gift and this is a gift we have all received. We have shared this gift in so many ways. I have received CD's, DVD's, photos which I never had. I have given the same back to fans, a lot whom I have never met. They have given me their time and I have given mine back. I have been given the gift of an autograph from Andre from a fan who knew I was heartbroken because I missed the signing. I in turn gave her photos and DVD's she did not have.
I think for a true fan the real pleasure is sharing . You cannot have a gift like Andre without sharing this gift with other fans. You want others to feel the joy you feel from his music. When you go to a concert you want others to see what you have just seen so you take photos and movies and send them to fans who could not be there. Other fans do the same for you. It is one big happy group who share the love and joy, the gift that is Andre Rieu. Hugs
Jeanine Ann, you mention a very good point, Andre's music is the main gift. Just sharing it with someone is a gift to ourselves.
After the concert in Milwaukee last year, Trudy and I went to the JSO's hotel, we talked about the concert, we shared and relived the music.
I had taken many photos (my hold the camera & click, so I don't miss the concert). I had the good photos printed and put them in an album for Trudy. Then I sent it to her as a keepsake gift of our concert!

Hi Jeff, we have no formal list of things. We just kind of pick up on things that fans mention that they are looking for. You have everything that I have but maybe I can get a key chain for you. Ruth Morgan made some for the fan luncheon in A.C. and I may have an extra one. I wil send you one of the fans that read: "I am An Andre Fan". I don't have many left but if anyone else wants one I will send you one. I will try to put a photo on so you can see it. I am pretty sure I scanned it. We had them at the concerts since Toronto. I have given DVD's to friends and bought the blue & white scarf and silk scarf from Andre's website, as well as his book and a pop up book of him and the JSO (for myself). Sadly no-one has given me anything so I just buy it all for myself. I really want his cravat pin but can't see me getting it......

Pauline you are so sweet, I have a feeling this one way giving of yours is going to change soon.
One of the first things I realized, is how much the fans care and share.They have big hearts and kind souls. Sometimes it's very humbling and overwhelming. I'm afraid I have recieved far more than I have given.

Oh wow Shirley, I have to say that I agree 100% with Sally! Your friendship and all the beautiful words you share with us each day is worth more than any one item!
We all share in the "gift" of André Rieu and his beautiful music. It's amazing the friendships that have started and stayed with us just in the "knowing of" André!
I believe that there is a quality of a friendship when we can say that the the "main" person/thing which brought us all together is such a selfless, happy person, who wants peace and happiness for everyone.
How can it be any other way?
I think that the friendships that have started here are people of the same heart and mind, we all love peace, and happiness, love and freedom. We have a chance to share all of this on this wonderful blog (thanks Sally!). I'm happy I've found all of you...you all make life comfortable in so many ways.
Now, I feel like turning André on and listening to the beautiful music we all love and share together. Thanks André!
Well now let's see: Since I first came into the realization of Andre and his wonderful musical JSO and singers, I have purchased:
A scarf, which I gave to a person;
Marjorie and Andre's book, which again, I lent to three people to read; Various cd's, which I listen to and lend to others to listen to.
Thanks everyone for making these wonderful items. I appreciate them and will continue to lend or give.
As a gift to Andre and his musical family, I have various Andre Rieu music on my facebook. I give him recognition under my favorite music. The biggest gift for myself and others is the Just For Fun Group I created called the G.R.A.C.E. group: Great Rewards Await Creative Energy. This group is created for people who want to use their energy in a positive, creative way. The group is slowly growing and many of them are fans of Andre. We are becoming friends.
I want to thank everyone on this site who give of their time, efforts, and words. It is you, the fans and friends that make a difference for the better.

His cd's and dvd's are just wonderful, especially his Wonderland! People of all ages and cultures can enjoy his music.

Hi, I gave away DVDs, CDs and to a very special friend in Alaska, she collects dolls, guess what? I made her an André Rieu doll, l7 cm with everything and the violin. She liked it very much, it is to Peggy Wiedle. I got from friends DVDs and a card game with all the JSO on it. I bought for the friend that introduced me to André a mug when she was in the hospital with Leukemia (sad to say, she died) and the boutique sent it here by accident and because it was their fault, they send an other one to my friend in Germany and the one they sent to me, they let me keep it as a gift, haaaaaaa, nice mistake.

I agree André has given us the best gifts of all...himself, his talented orchestra and his beautiful music. I have received buttons, key chains, photo CDs of concerts I was not able to attend and a concert scarf from wonderful André fans from one coast to the other. I have given several DVDs as gifts to those who are now "hooked" on his music as well. When André asks in his concerts, "What would the world be without music?" I always think, "What would the world be like without André? I cannot even imagine."
I BROUGHT 2 ANDRE RIEU SCARFS .I STILL HAVE TO BUY THE ANDRE RIEU BEAR BECAUSE I AM GIVING ONE OF THE SCARFS AND THE ANDRE RIEU BEAR TO WILMA COCKING.SHE IS THE LADY WHO HAS CANCER AND LIVES IN AUSTRALIA. I THOUGHT SINCE ALOT OF YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE WERE GETTING HER CDS AND DVDS THAT I WOULD GET HER SOMETHING DIFFRENT.

Hi Constance, are you referring to the concert scarf or the silk scarf? I think that is a wonderful gift for Wilma. I have the little key chain bear but not the large one. I WILL BE GIVING WILMA THE CONCERT SCARF.IT WILL BE GOOD FOR HER SINCE SHE IS GOING THROUGH CHEMO. THE SILK SCARF WOULD NOT GIVE HER MUCH PROTECTION. I KNOW IT IS PROBABLY HOT THERE RIGHT NOW BUT HER IMMUNE SYSTEM IS SHOT AND IT IS PROBABLY COLD THERE AT NIGHT. Andre gives us all his music, and has introduced us to even more music than he might know. Now we have Reincarnatus! Happy Everyday Marlene!
As I read through these messages, I realize how many things I have forgotten I have bought and given away. All the DVDs and CDs, the bear, the mugs, the cups and saucers, the playing cards, Marjorie's book, the bus, an autographed CD, and who knows what else. Hmmmm. I wonder what I have spent since 1997 including the traveling, tickets, hotels, etc. Well, everyone has a hobby and I probably haven't spent as much as people with other hobbies have spent, but I'll bet I have gotten the most pleasure out of mine and I imagine you would say the same.
Oh gosh, can you imagine? I would guess you've spent plennnntyyyyyy. And yet, like me, you've enjoyed plenty too.
Andre helps a lot of people's economy!
