Reincarnatus
REINCARNATUS
My mail box held a wonderful surprise, one I could not wait to open. The new CD from Reincarnatus! Signed by Renate Dirix. Many of you will remember Renate as the bassoon player with André Rieu's Johann Strauss Orchesta. AndreRieuFans.com has a page dedicated to Renate and Reincarnatus. AND...Renate has promised me an update, so we will be adding that soon.
Reincarnatus Members include:
Renate Dirix, Linda Custers, Inge Gorissen, Marna van der Velben, Isabelle Dosne and Joyce Hamers.
Medeval Music brought to us by Goth Maidens, you can hear the music being created in the castles of a bygone era as you listen to the CD. You can almost see Saint Hildegard as she writes music, shares her passions, her visions and her critiques. Her music brought back to life by Reincarnatus. There are songs from long ago, and songs written looking into the past as it whispers by on the wind.
This is a CD you have to listen to time and again to appreciate the full body of sound, the essence of what dances in your head. Relax your mind and let it travel back in time.

Sally, was not Inge Gorisson also once a member from the JSO? That name rings a bell? Linda I know, she still is and her mother makes the costumes. Renate left the JSO just when I finally found on the internet a bassoon for her in my Mini-JSO, but she stayed there I never replaced her, also Marc is not replaced and Jo and Jan Baruschke. The new bassoon player Hanna, is super, too.
Hi Inge:
I am not certain about Inge Gorisson, but I thought I had heard her name before. It would be interesting if any can tell us.
The music of Reincarnatus is very unique. I had to listen a few times to absorb it. I was pleased to hear how in such a short time, this group of fine musicians and vocalists had really melded together.
I love your miniatures and your Andre & JSO Minis. I wonder if Renate has seen herself in miniature. J
All of these ladies are so tall & pretty in real life, but best of all, they are talented.
I do remember Renate as one of the "Andre Sisters", but I have to confess, I don't know much about the medieval or renaissance music.I have visited the girl's site.
The André Sisters. That was one of my favorites. And Tirol-Rock. The very BEST. I love it.
I know little of medieval music myself. Oh how it would be to travel back in time and watch or take part. (of course, I'd want to be able to get back to today!). Live History Lessons.
Reincarnatus the CD contains some songs from the period with little bio's. It is interesting.
Sally I looked it up, Inge Gorisson was on the JSO , she played the violin and if you look in the book from Marjorie, you find the first picture of the JSO with only 27 members and she was number lO on the picture. I also remember now seeing her on the first two Videos, "the Vienna I love" and "from Holland with love", She is also in his album that he gave me in a picture in the bus.
I forgot to tell you Sally, that I sent Carla pictures from the 3 dolls I made from her, she was quite amazed and wrote back to me, never thought I would hear from her, she is really a nice girl!
That's so neat Inge. Carla is really a nice person isn't she? Andre has a way, he finds for songs and fans, women that are Beautiful, Talented and Nice!
Taken on my cell phone in Toronto!
Jeanine Ann
That is a nice picture from Carla. I wished she would be still with André, the 4 years with her were super, I love her voice and her stage presents, I also love Carmen, Suzan grew on me, at first I did not like her, but now I miss her, too. Inge
Catching up on a few items that have slipped by the wayside, one of which is a comment on "Riencarnatus".
I have listened to this cd and I really do enjoy it very much.
I'm pleased to see these gals doing such a wonderful job with their group. The music is interesting, intriguing and most of all enjoyable to listen to.
I'm not sure what I expected or what to expect, when I saw the cover and the dress they had, but I must say it's been a pleasant experience and the music very enjoyable.
I listen to it often and can dream of being in a time where this music was the order of the day. I love it!
