much respected great musician and honored 'Andre'. IN 1973 WHEN THE OLD JOHANN STRAUS ORCHESTRA PLAYED IN MY HOMETOWN, RICHMOND, VA., I BUMPED INTO STEFAN PUNZI, VIOLINIST WITH THE JSO AND WE BECAME IMMEDIATE FRIENDS. HE TOLD ME OF THE "YOUNG VIOLINIST "SOMEDAY THE WHOLE WORLD WILL KNOW!!!" YES, HE SAID 'ANDRE RIEU!"
WE KEPT IN TOUCH FOR YEARS UNTIL HE DIED IN VIENNA. HE LETTERS ADDRESSED ME AS "DEAR SOROR..." AND SIGNED HIMSELF AS "YOUR FRATE..." HE SAID MANY GOOD THINGS OF YOU LIKE "SOMEDAY THE WHOLE WORLD WILL KNOW OF ANDRE RIEU!! MY FRIENDS AND I GET TOGETHER ONCE A WEEK TO SHOW ANDRE RIEU DVDS AND WE HAVE SUCH A HAPPY TIME.
