Andre Rieu - The Gala From Blackpool Gazette
The Blackpool Gazette
ANDRE RIEU
With a 50-piece orchestra in period costume and a dozen dancers in the aisles
this was one of the evening's highspots. The James Last of Strauss Waltzes is booked
up years in advance. Hardly surprising.
Andre Rieu At the Royal Variety Performance

This is the only information I could find on the Royal Variety Performance.
I know Suzan Erens is presently in Norway. But are there any plans in the near future to have her appear with Andre Rieu

Thanks for sending these photos....I beleive that Andre has a new DVD coming out at the end of December called Music from Vienna (I think that is its name) and it will have a 2nd disc in the package showing the Royal Variety concert in Blackpool UK......Please correct me if I am wrong

Haaaaaaaa, André must have been nervous, he forgot to address His Royal Highness Prince Phillip.

You are very observant Inge, I didn't even notice that. But you know me - one track mind. Hugs

I didn't see the Choir.
However.... WOW... what I did see is that the Johann Strauss Orchestra filled the stage with Beauty. It really highlighted for me how stunning the JSO is to look at ... and then ... they play the most beautiful of Waltzes!

Thanks Jeanine for posting the video of Andre performing in Blackpool. Clearly in my mind and eyes the show was Andre's.

Jeanine Ann, this is wonderful that you found this much. The video is super. Did you hear that audience? I would say Andre was well received.

That's what I thought too. Andre Rieu & his JSO certain got a very loud applause! And how beautifully they filled the stage and hall with their presence and music. It was well done by Andre!

I'm sure the Queen would give Andre and the JSO a 10 out of 10 for this performance. I think it was just perfect.

Watching this again, I think...only Andre Rieu could get the crowd to break from tradition and CLAP in the middle of the set, as Andre & the JSO play, and the Waltzers fill the aisles. Well Done!!
