An Evening With Andre Rieu

Over the past months my daughter Rachel and I, decided to have an Andre Rieu musical evening in our home. We invited some of our family and friends who love his music. We sent out invitations and we asked everyone to bring along " a smile and a sense of humour".
After dinner we had a trivia competition (with prizes of European chocolates - We had even managed to find chocolate bars made in the Netherlands) and enjoyed karaoke to many of the beautiful melodies Andre had to offer. We played his DVDs on a data projector on our wall so the picture and sound was large larger than life and very beautiful so the sing-a -longs were lots of fun. Some of us also danced the Blue Danube along with the DVD. It wasn’t quite as good as being at his concert but it was the next best thing. As the evening pace slowed down a little, one of our visitors named Brian played his guitar while we all sang along together "Amazing Grace”.

Overall, it was a great night with lots of singing, dance and laughter. It is just so wonderful that Andre Rieu brings much joy and friendship into people’s lives through his music!
Kind Regards

No objections from me. It would be great if you could do something like that. We are all on the same team here and its all about bringing joy to other people through the avenue of music that Andre has so kindly shares with us.

What a delightful way to spend an evening!
Thanks so much Christine and Rachel for sharing your wonderful evening and pics with us. Well done to both of you for all the joy you bought to your friends with your inspiration!!! I bet it took a bit of organizing.
Such a fresh touch to get together with friends and celebrate all the joys that our Andre always shares with us as we all gather to enjoy his Concerts. We come from all back grounds, cities and states to get in touch with our inner happiness, here you have extended your home and friends which are such a fresh touch, everyone was smiling and a very unique way to spend an evening enjoying what we love doing, sharing, caring; such a classy gathering with that special touch of Dutch chocolate. Thanks for sharing such a refreshing idea.
What a great idea! If all of us could do this we would have so much fun and could celebrate Andre's music with family and friends. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Takes a lot of work but it is worth it. Big hugs to all of you.
Thank you ladies for you beautiful comments. Rachel and I didn't realise we would get such a reaction so we really appreciate your encouragement.
