Several of you questioned the contents of this new book which was found on Amazon and brought to our attention by Kay.
I purchased this handbook and the first item which got my attention was a disclaimer which in part read. . . "the content within this book was generated collaboratively by volunteers. Please be advised that nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate or reliable information. Some information in this book may be misleading or simply wrong."
The handbook consisted of a brief biography of Andre Rieu and that was the extent of information on Andre. The remainder of the book was comprised of articles on the Waltz, Franz Lehar, Maastricht, Limburgish, Stradivarius and other subjects.
I am returning this book and would advise that fans would find it disappointing and need not buy it.

Yes Shirley, wish I had known about it ahead of time but you don't know it until you see it. You know me I must get everything I see on Andre as if I don't know enough about him. : ) Hugs
Well Jeanine Ann, you did us all a big favor. I'm sure that just about any fan already knows more than what's in this book. I was skeptical when I read the title, but thanks to you we now know for sure & that will be a few less bucks for this person.

I was thinking the same as you. I do hope someone sent that to Andre. He should know if there is a cheap knock-off using his name. I am certain he would not like it.

Some people have the hide of a rhino[ sorry rhinos] I really dislike people who try to cash in by using peoples Names Who have worked hard to achieve as Andre' has done,this sort of thing makes me ANGRY. thank you for the info Jeanine Ann,xxoo

Hi everyone, what a shock, and big dissapointment. I would have bought it as we are going to Andre s concert september. I did manage to get a copy of my music and life, thats the best one, as Marjorie wrote this one cheers

My wife and I have been disabled for many years. As a result our income is extremely limited (by USA standards).
I was a violinist in high school and at the University of Arizona years ago.
I know that you are going to be in San Jose in December.
I was wondering if you knew of any resources that could assist us in going to the concert?? Tickets for us would consume 13% of our income and leave us without insufficient funds for food.
I have been unable to attend any concerts for 20 years
